Hitit University Hosted the International Erasmus+ Staff Week


Hitit University, in line with its internationalization vision, continues its efforts to strengthen academic cooperation, enhance mobility programs, and expand global communication.

Within the scope of the International Erasmus+ Staff Week organized by the International Office and the Erasmus+ Coordination Unit, Hitit University hosted academic and administrative staff from Romania (Babeș-Bolyai University, Petroleum–Gas University of Ploiești, “Constantin Brancusi” University of Târgu-Jiu), Bulgaria (South-West University “Neofit Rilski”), Spain (Universidad Europea de Madrid), and Hungary (University of Physical Education and Sports Sciences) with the aim of reinforcing international collaboration and increasing knowledge exchange.

Held between 19–21 November 2025 under the theme “Erasmus+ Projects for Higher Education Institutions,” the program began with opening speeches at the Ethem Erkoç Conference Hall, with the participation of Hitit University’s unit coordinators.

During the session in which the participating institutions delivered their institutional presentations, Dr. Mustafa Seyrek, Deputy Coordinator of the International Office, presented a talk titled “Erasmus Opportunities for Higher Education Institutions.” On the first day, participants also had the opportunity to visit Hattusa, one of the capitals of the Hittite Civilization, as well as Yazılıkaya, renowned for its rock reliefs.

On the second day, during the Erasmus+ Project Writing Workshop held at the Hitit University Youth Office, participants received training on project development processes. The workshop provided guidance on how emerging project ideas could be improved and under which Erasmus+ project categories applications could be submitted. The second day of the program concluded with a guided city tour of Amasya.

The third day of the event continued with a visit to the Hitit University Technology Center, where participants were informed about the laboratories and research facilities of the university. The program concluded with a city tour of Çorum.
